# How do I ask health questions when people join?

> Turn on short yes or no health questions and your terms at join, choose who reads the answers, and see the Health note flag on the class list in Teamna.

Teamna can ask new people short health questions when they join, and ask them to accept your terms. The questions are off until you turn them on. Only an owner or an admin can change them.

> Teamna shows the words of your business. A swimming academy sees Coaches and Swimmers. A pilates studio sees Instructors and Clients. This article uses *staff* and *participant*.

## Turn on the health questions

1. On the web, open **Settings** and select **Health**.
2. Turn on **Ask health questions when people join**.

Teamna gives you four questions to start: an injury or pain now, a pregnancy now or a birth in the last 6 months, a heart condition or a blood pressure condition, and surgery in the last 12 months. Each question has a yes or a no. A yes asks for a short note.

People who joined before you turned on the questions are not asked.

## Change the questions

1. Under **Questions**, change the words of a question, or select **Remove**.
2. To add a question, select **Add a question** and type it.
3. Select **Save questions**.

## Write your terms

1. Under **Terms**, read the words that Teamna gives you as a start and change them.
2. Select **Save terms**.

Each change makes a new version of the terms. A person who accepted an earlier version keeps that version and is not asked again. New people accept the new version. To have no terms, make the box empty and save.

## What a new participant sees

The health questions come after the name, on the web and in the mobile app. The person answers yes or no to each question, writes a short note for a yes, and accepts your terms. In a business where parents book for their children, the parent answers for each child.

A person whose request waits for your approval answers after you approve them. A parent who adds a child later answers for that child. Teamna shows them a reminder on their home screen.

## Who reads the answers

- **The owner and the admins** read the answers on the page of the member and on the card of each child.
- **Staff** see only the flag **Health note** next to the name on the class list and on the attendance screen. They do not see the answers.
- To let staff read the answers too, turn on **Staff can read health notes** under **Settings**, **Health**. Staff then select **Read the health notes** on the attendance screen on the web.

Each session on **Home** shows how many people have a health note.

## Frequently asked questions

### Do people who joined before see the questions?

No. Teamna asks only people who join after you turn on the questions. V1 does not ask a person again when you change the questions or the terms.

### Are the answers in the CSV export?

No. The answers are health data. They are not in any export, report or message, and the AI Assistant does not read them.

### What happens to the answers when a person deletes their account?

Teamna deletes the answers with the account. Teamna keeps a record of the version of the terms the person accepted and the date.

The same is true when a parent removes the profile of a child: Teamna deletes the answers and keeps the record of the terms.

### Can staff read the answers?

Only when the owner turns on **Staff can read health notes**. Without it, staff see only the flag **Health note**.
