Your WhatsApp group becomes your class list
Your parents are already in a WhatsApp group. Do not type them into a spreadsheet again. Add the Teamna number to the group, and the names and numbers that WhatsApp shows come into Teamna. Then you decide who each person is.

How the sync works
- In the Teamna web office, open WhatsApp sync and choose how to connect a group.
- Save the Teamna number as a contact on your phone, and add it to the group. Or paste the group invite link, and Teamna joins with the link.
- The owner or an admin of your business must be an admin of the group. Teamna checks this, and it leaves a group where no admin is from your business.
- Teamna reads the WhatsApp name and the number of each person. A person who hides the number in WhatsApp is left out. New people go to an Unsorted list.
- Connect more than one group, for example one group for each level and one group for your coaches.
You decide who each person is
- Mark each person as a parent, a swimmer, a coach, or skip them. One person can be a coach and a parent.
- Teamna uses your words. For a pilates studio, the roles are client and instructor.
- Then add the children of each parent. Find a child who is in Teamna already, or type a new name.
- Nobody becomes a parent or a coach until you sort them. Sort now, or come back later.
The list stays up to date
- Teamna stays in the group until you remove it. When a person joins the group, they show in Unsorted.
- When a person leaves the group, Teamna shows them under Left the group. You keep them or archive them. Teamna never archives a person by itself.
- Tap Sync now to read the group again at any time.
- A name that you typed yourself stays. The sync does not change it.
What Teamna does not do in your group
- Teamna does not read your messages. It gets only the people who join and leave.
- Teamna does not post in the group.
- Teamna reads names only. It never reads or keeps WhatsApp profile photos.
- You can remove Teamna from the group at any time.

Frequently asked questions
- Does Teamna read our WhatsApp messages?
- No. Teamna gets the list of people in the group, and a notice when a person joins or leaves. It never reads the messages.
- Does Teamna send messages to the group or to the parents?
- Not from the sync. The sync only reads the people. You invite the parents to Teamna yourself, when you are ready.
- Does Teamna copy profile photos from WhatsApp?
- No. Teamna reads the WhatsApp name and the number only. A profile photo in Teamna comes only from your business or from the family.
- What if WhatsApp does not let me add the number?
- Paste the group invite link instead, and Teamna joins with it. If your group asks an admin to approve new members, approve Teamna in WhatsApp.
- Can I take attendance with a WhatsApp poll?
- A poll in the group can work for a few days. Then parents answer late, change the vote, and nobody copies the result to a sheet. Teamna does not read polls or messages. Sync the group once, so your parents and children are in Teamna. Then the coach marks attendance in Teamna on the phone.
- Do I need to be an admin of the group?
- Yes. The owner or an admin of your business must also be an admin of the WhatsApp group. Teamna leaves a group of strangers at once.
